The ThinkPad 570 Li-Ion Battery provides additional "unplugged" use of your ThinkPad 570 equal to that of your standard system battery. This battery can either replace the system battery in the ThinkPad 570 or be placed in the Battery Bay of the ThinkPad 570 UltraBase. In either location, the battery can both provide power to the system and be recharged.
