Description: Aruba Instant On AP22 Dual-Band Access Point with 12V Power Adapter R6M49A
Enhance your business's wireless coverage with by connecting an Aruba Instant On AP22 Dual-Band Access Point to your network. Supporting 802.11ax Wi-Fi, this dual-band access point can transfer up to 574 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz frequency band and 1200 Mb/s on the 5 GHz band for a total throughput of 1775 Mb/s. The Instant On AP22 can be powered through PoE using the Gigabit Ethernet uplink port or you can use the included 12V, 18W DC adapter. Its two down-tilt omnidirectional antennas support 2 x 2 MIMO technology with a peak gain of up to 5.6 dBi over the 5 GHz band, providing fast and stable connections to devices. The wireless signal is secured by WPA2 and WPA3 authentication while a built-in firewall helps to prevent intruders and bots from accessing your network. You can mount the access point on your desk or use the included clip to mount it onto a wall or ceiling. Configure the access point via the Aruba Instant On mobile app to set up guest networks, block users, and take advantage of other features.

Great access points. Requires online account for setup. Used in alot of deployments. Great simple configuration options. Range is what I expected for the purchase. Had some cool backwards and long range setting for compatibility. I would recommend.... Highly.
This is hands down better than the TP-Link it replaced. Management is easier, performance is better, signal strength is better. I'm very happy with it so far.ButInstallation was a nightmare. Had to reboot at least a half dozen times before the power light stopped glowing amber, which could mean anything according to my web searches. Once I hit the magic number of reboots, setting up a network was easy, but connecting to it was not. I had to give it a static DHCP lease in my router, and even then several devices couldn't connect because the access point was supposedly full. It wasn't, but (and I speak from experience) yelling that at this device does no good.Overall, performance is very good so far, but the install was not easy
Great product.Probably the most idiotically designed plastic mount ever conceived.- Does not sit flush against the ceiling- Does not have holes for a standard outlet box (HP you know they run ethernet in ceilings, right? Thats where access points are mounted)- If you want it to fit flush, you have to buy an entirely separate product: "HP Flush mount kit", which doesnt have a hole for the ethernet cable + when you put it on, you cant see where you're mounting it.Idiotic product design from the mount team.
Our company did a review of many access points on the market for use in our small business customers and we settled on this one. The value for this model as well as the larger AP25 get is great. One of the reasons we were looking is that another brand we were using started having issues with Apple devices connecting and in our tests this one didn't have any problems. Specifically we had a non-profit customer that used very many older devices and they were having problems connecting to some of the other brands WiFi 6 access points.I prefer this smaller AP22 access point as its theoretical wireless speed is greater than a gigabit ethernet, so it is fast enough. It also costs quite a bit less and doesn't run nearly as hot as the larger AP25. I would rather have 2 of these for nearly the same price as one of the larger units.Setup is easy with either their website or an app you can install on your phone. It supports meshing and all of the features you would expect from an access point (VLAN, multiple SSID, wireless mesh, POE). They have models that come with DC power for a little extra if needed.I like how they setup the web management as you can control multiple networks on one account, so it is great for an IT company like ours with multiple client, or for a business with multiple locations. It's also still simple enough for single location small business. It allows you to manage their InstantOn switches and access points in the same portal. For companies that already have an SNMP management system (Auvik, Domotz, etc) the device can be unhooked from the web/phone app management and instead setup and controlled locally on it's own web interface and monitored through SNMP.
(Will change to 5 Stars when listing is updated with accurate information)Deployed two of these with an Aruba switch, the interface is FANTASTIC, so easy to setup and use, and the connection has been ROCK SOLID.This listing is incorrect though, the AP22 does NOT have a 2.5gbe uplink as advertised here, it is only 1gbe. I should have looked at Aruba’s official docs, I would have known ahead of time.
