The new 40/80GB DLT Internal SCSI Tape Drive features improved capacity, performance, and reliability, over the 35/70 DLT drive.
Storage Capacity: With a capacity of 40GB per cartridge, and the ability to store up to 80GB per cartridge using its onboard hardware data compression, the 40/80GB DLT drive provides plenty of backup capacity for today's storage-intensive applications.
Performance: The drives 21GB/hr transfer rate can be increased up to 42GB/hr with hardware data compression. The unit also features a Low Voltage Differential SCSI (LVDS, also called Ultra2 SCSI) interface, supporting up to 80MB/sec data transfer rate.
Reliability: Improvements to the mechanical and electrical design boost its reliability.
